Esoteric Dance Project presents the performance series Designed Parameters, premiering three distinctly crafted creations by fellow Artistic Directors Brenna Pierson-Tucker and Christopher Tucker. The evening will highlight eight Chicago-based artists, including a live musician. EDP’s weekend of performances promises intricacies in both movement and music, treating the audience to a craftily engineered exploration of space combined with precision movement and rhythmic nuances. The evening will showcase three distinctly themed world premieres cohesively connected by a similar artistic vision: Movements in Dyad offers a live collaboration between musician and dancers; Tends to Stay in Motion delivers a powerful duet exploration of energy and continuous movement; and 4 X 4 culminates by challenging the conventionality of performance space.
