Contretemps Contemporary Ballet’s mission is to create opportunities for dancers and dancemakers whose bodies and identities have been historically excluded from ballet.
Intrinsically radical, we believe in ballet that promotes body diversity, embraces the non-binary, and subverts expectations. Contretemps Contemporary Ballet is a feminist, anti-racist, anti-patriarchial, pro-worker, LGBTQIA+-affirming organization. Our work serves to foster a new generation of diverse leaders in the field. We produce original works of provocation and urgency.

Due to the recent spike in Chicago area Covid-19 cases, we are requiring all audience members to present their vaccination card at check-in, and to wear a mask throughout the duration of the performance.

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE. IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, PLEASE VISIT CONTRETEMPSBALLET.ORG FOR UPDATES.
