Join us December 13-15th for this charming production featuring a cast of nearly 200 children ages 7-18! Sumptuous handmade costumes, the classic Tchaikovsky score, and beautifully-trained dancers make this production a city-wide favorite, while a concurrent Holiday Bazaar and the gorgeous gothic architecture of historic Mandel Hall lend a festive air. A fresh new hip hop twist on the battle scene in this otherwise classical production draws new audiences in to the beloved ballet, and narration helps keep young children engaged. Critics agree that HPSD's one-act presentation is a great low-cost and family-friendly way to see The Nutcracker without compromising on production quality. Join us this December in Hyde Park, Chicago for 90 minutes of holiday magic. Join us for The Nutcracker!
