This class dives into the vibrant tradition of jiggin’ — a social dance rooted in the creativity and resilience of Black Louisiana. Participants explore rhythmic footwork, groove, and storytelling, connecting jiggin’ to zydeco, second line, and other Black Creole traditions. Through guided practice, call-and-response games, and short combinations, jiggin’ becomes more than steps: it’s memory in motion, testimony of survival, and joy carried in the body
