Meet Your Maker: Connecting Chicago Creatives

Other Event
Six degrees of separation is a theory on the interconnectedness of the contemporary world. It postulates that everyone and everything is, at most, six introductions apart from anyone, anywhere in the world. You can be six degrees apart from anyone you may need or want to know, or you can skip five degrees and attend "Meet your Maker".
Join us for the 4th annual Chicago Artists Month creative conversation, to be held in Chicago on Saturday, October 17, 2015. This event, titled “Meet your Maker” is envisioned as an opportunity for local arts leaders to engage and meet face-to-face – bridging the divide between artists and arts administrators. Creative types, at any stage in their professional career, are encouraged to join us for an evening of exploration among arts-passionate people.
Motivated by the transformative power of the arts, I support initiatives that provide not only arts learning, but a diverse range of experiential learning opportunities. Whether through dance, music, painting or any number of creative outlets, it is my hope that people city-wide will build relationships to improve interdisciplinary exchange.
Led by a steering committee of thought-leaders from across the creative sector, this Chicago Artists Month event aims at building an ecosystem that positions Chicago as a place for investigation, experimentation, innovation, and production: For Artists. By Artists.
