Choreographer Peter Chu creates works that push the physical bounds of movement, and bring sharp and liquid-like energies into contrast; these qualities and sensibilities guide the body toward seamless yet powerful movement. Inspired by the dynamic nature of emotions, Chu’s works depict movements that expand, contract, isolate, and undulate. Partnering and an innate wisdom of the body and mind are also integral elements to his choreography.
