The workshop includes a warm up, partner and group exercises
based on rituals of the past and present, and creation of an authentic,
personal dance ritual to take home. The dance ritual each participant
creates will act as a reminder, a touchstone, of something the
participant wishes to develop in her/his life. Bodies of all shapes,
sizes, colors, and dance experience are welcome and encouraged to
attend. Workshop fee includes workshop manual and materials to include
in the dance ritual.

Cassandra Dara-Abrams leads this open-to-all-bodies workshop.
Cassandra runs Brave and Barefoot Dance and Yoga and is Artistic
Director of the Brave and Barefoot Dance Troupe, a women’s dance troupe
centered on the intersection of modern and ancient dance technique. For
the past five years, she has trained in small group dynamics and
processes and develops workshops around artistic expression and healthy
group growth.
