Studio5 presents the REGIONAL PREMIERE of Open Dance Project’s PANOPTICON, the Houston based company's newest work choreographed by Annie Arnoult, named by Dance Magazine as “25 to Watch.”  Set in the year 2151, PANOPTICON is inspired by ODP’s research into the sci-fi world of retro-futuristic dystopias where “citizens” are constantly being watched.  It follows two would-be lovers struggling with the desire for physical and emotional intimacy in a world where deep, human connection is forbidden. There will be no traditional seating for this production, as the dancers will move through and around the audience, however those with mobility needs will be accommodated. Limited capacity of 40 per performance.
