Chicago’s Ruth Page School of Dance announces the Arlington Heights audition for its four week 2023 Summer Intensive Program, The International Dance Experience. The auditions will take place on Sunday, Jan. 29 at Arlington Dance Academy, 25 S. Ruth Page School of Dance’s Summer Intensive offers an experienced and dedicated faculty of dance professionals and international partners, who are committed to developing well-rounded dance artists through high-quality training. Their mission remains to embrace diverse cultures as a source of inspiration for creativity and human self-expression in dance and create lifelong ambassadors for the art of dance.

With internationally renowned master teachers and Ruth Page School’s highly regarded faculty, Led by Victor Alexander, the program provides appropriate dance technique classes designed to provide far-reaching improvement for each student. Focus is placed on developing the whole dancer by offering classes according to level in Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Pas De Deux, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Character, Pilates, Afro-Cuban, Conditioning, among others. Summer Intensive students may choose to participate in two weeks, three weeks, or all four weeks. The program will conclude with a full-length in-person performance at the end of the four weeks. Work-study and scholarships are available on a limited basis. Housing options are available for an additional cost.

The 2023 Summer Intensive and The International Dance Experience will take place from June 20 – July 15 and includes guest artists and international instructors. Previous instructors have been from Cuba’s Escuela Nacional de Ballet, Italy’s Mandala Dance Company and Profession Dance, and Spain’s Conservatorio Professional de Danza A Coruña.
