The Evanston Dance Ensemble (EDE) concludes its 22^nd season March 14th – 17th with a reprise of their original work Space Odyssey: the solar system in dance, first produced in 2001 and last seen by audiences in 2007. Space Odyssey features choreography by EDE Co-Artistic Directors Béa Rashid and Christina Ernst, as well as Annie Arnoult, Julie Cartier, Lady Holly Hathaway, and Roberta Pfeil-Begley. The original score is by Emmy and Jeff-Award winning stage and film composer Steve Rashid. Highly regarded for past adaptations of classics including Alice in Wonderland, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and more recently, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this striking and completely original work – long one of the favorites in the EDE repertory – conceptually explores each planet in the solar system through movement, music, color and light.
