Join See Chicago Dance for our Summer Community Convening, an afternoon of insight, reflection, and connection as we navigate the evolving arts landscape together.
In response to growing uncertainty around performing arts funding and shifts in the philanthropic ecosystem, we’re thrilled to welcome Zachary Whittenburg, Program Officer at the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, for a timely and thought-provoking session:
- • Gather Support For Your Work: Insights for Grantseekers
With more than two decades of experience in Chicago’s cultural sector—as a dancer, choreographer, arts administrator, journalist, and now a foundation program officer—Zac brings a uniquely holistic perspective to the table.
This two-part program includes:
- • A presentation by Zac offering candid, practical advice on approaching arts funders
- • A one-on-one conversation between SCD Executive Director Julia Mayer and Zac, as he reflects on his career trajectory and how Chicago’s dance ecosystem has evolved
Whether you’re considering a career pivot, seeking clarity in today’s funding environment, or simply looking to connect with peers, this convening offers valuable perspective and inspiration.
Time for your questions will follow both portions of the program.
We hope to see you there!
