Spend a week this summer with The Seldoms in a space of dance exploration and exchange, of physical and poetic calisthenics. We invite you to inform, not perform, our material.

Who are we? We are dancer-athletes, thinking artists, generous educators, research fanatics, and dialogue promoters. We build movement that aims to communicate big ideas and subtle distinctions, that comes from a foundation of anatomical understanding and modern technique, and contains our 18-year history of making performance. The Seldoms Summer Intensive is led by Artistic Director Carrie Hanson and ensemble members.

9:30am-10:30am Somatics & Body Conditioning
10:30am – 12:30pm Mod/Cont Technique with extended phrasework and repertory
12:30pm-1pm Lunch
1pm – 2:30pm Solo Composition Workshop with Carrie Hanson
