OPEN COMPANY CLASSES

We welcome you to join us! Material is designed for advanced and professional dancers. Train with us and our wonderful community in the spacious studios at Visceral Dance Center — challenge your technical practice, hone your movement pick-up, strengthen your body, and excite your sense of play-in-motion.

Classes are alternately taught by ensemble members, Faith Balderrama (July) and Haley Marcin (June and August).

Note: no class on June 30.

ABOUT THE TEACHER – HALEY MARCIN

Haley Marcin is the lead of company training and uses principles from Safety Release Technique to inform her classes. She aims to help dancers find more freedom, space, and length in their bodies while moving in and out of the floor with ease and efficiency. Her
classes include expansive, shape-shifting material packed with embellishment
and joy.

ABOUT THE TEACHER- FAITH BALDERRAMA

Faith joined The Seldoms in 2025.

The Countertechnique® class with Faith Balderrama is a contemporary dance technique class that stretches, coordinates and strengthens the body, making dancers build stamina and really move.The class starts with exercises that investigate Countertechnique® principles in detail. The second half of the class consists of varied components, working towards luscious movement combinations. The Countertechnique® class results in dancers using more efficient energy, losing fear of taking risks and gaining speed in both level and directional changes.
