JULY 29TH | 6-9PM | 4E GALLERY | 2255 S MICHIGAN | Discussion from 7~8pm

Too Beautiful to be Named is a collaborative installation moving around and through the archives of the MoMing Dance and Arts Center, which are housed in the Newberry Library's Midwest Dance Collection. Aiming to re-inscribe the performances that occured at a former Chicago hub for experimental dance into the present moment, Too Beautiful to Be Named simultaneously interrogates the various gaps in understanding inherent to reconstructing an archival image. The opening will also features screenings of dance works, and an informal discussion between former members of the MoMing collective. We hope you can join us!
