This intensive is an in-depth introduction to the intricacies of
Kuchipudi. Yamini will lead the students through a thorough warm up
before each session. A typical intensive involves:
1) An introduction to her unique foundational techniques influenced by Ballet and Modern Dance
2) An introduction to Abhinaya – pulling from Kuchipudi’s dramatic roots
3) A choreography excerpt that combines the above at the end of class. Each class will conclude with a cool down.
