Internship Overview:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic photography intern to join our team to support our artistic and marketing efforts by capturing high-quality images of classes, rehearsals, performances, and special events. The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of dance photography, capturing the beauty, grace, and athleticism of our dancers in action.
Responsibilities:
- Attend rehearsals, classes, and performances to capture compelling photographs of our dancers.
- Collaborate with our artistic team to understand the vision and artistic direction of each shoot.
- Maintaining a consistent visual style aligned with Ballet Chicago’s brand
- Use creativity and technical skill to showcase the emotion, movement, and energy of dance.
- Editing and organizing digital images for marketing, archival, and social media use
Requirements:
- Strong passion for photography and a keen interest in dance or sports photography.
- Proficiency in operating DSLR cameras and knowledge of photography techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Availability to attend rehearsals, classes, and performances as needed (flexible scheduling available).
- Experience with photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop preferred)

Duration:
