School of Ballet 5:8 is seeking a full-time School of Ballet 5:8 Appleton Director to lead our Appleton campus. This role combines teaching and administration and is ideal for a strong educator and organized leader who is passionate about student development, family communication, and building a thriving school community.
The Appleton Director will oversee the day-to-day operation of the campus, teach approximately 10-15 hours per week, and manage approximately 25-30 administrative hours per week. This position includes evening and weekend responsibilities during performances, rehearsals, open houses, and special events. The Director is expected to reside in or near Appleton, Wisconsin.
Reports to the School Principal
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the Appleton campus
- Teach ballet and related classes
- Support student placement, growth, and retention
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and faculty
- Oversee scheduling, communication, and administrative systems
- Support registration, enrollment, and family follow-up
- Partner with leadership on campus growth and community presence
- Help plan and execute performances, showcases, and special events
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and well-run school environment
Ideal Candidate
- Strong ballet teaching experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with students, families, and faculty
- Able to lead both people and operations with professionalism and warmth
- Excited to help grow and strengthen Ballet 5:8’s Appleton campus
