Join See Chicago Dance on Friday, June 26th, 6–9:30 PM at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts for the final installment of NeighborhoodMOVES. Enough talking its time to MOVE!

First up, 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 “𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐊” 𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 and 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐚 “𝐊-𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥” 𝐑𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐫-𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 invite you to join “The Connection Cypher,” an hour of embodied conversation inspired by the collective knowledge and shared power of street dance and hip-hop cultures. Together, participants will honor the brilliance of the cypher model while exploring ways to dismantle barriers created by gatekeeping.

Next, dig deep and let loose in the “CrossCurrents: Bodies in Rhythm” movement workshop led by  𝐓𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬. This workshop will focus on house dance elements, including jacking, footwork, and the dancer’s relationship to music.

To round things out, we will conclude the evening—and Chicago Dance Month—with the Chicago Dance Month Wrap Party + Celebration. 𝐃𝐉 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦 (Tre Daniels) will be mixing infectious beats, pumping out immaculate vibes to send the 13th annual Chicago Dance Month Festival off in style. 

Whether you attended a CDM event as an audience member, led a class, facilitated a workshop, or performed on any of the CDM stages, this celebration is for you! 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞!
