Chicago Shimmyfest was established by Jasmin Jahal in 2002 to promote the art of classical oriental belly dance. This is the 13th year that the Gala Show is presented, with soloists and group performances from across the U.S. This year the program is held in a hotel ballroom with professional staging and lighting, cash bar, free parking and vendors that offer delightful dance supplies and music. For those who love to see artistic ethnic dance in a family oriented setting, this show is unparalleled throughout Chicagoland!
