Chicago Dance Month Kickoff Celebration

Navy Pier’s Lake Stage, 600 E. Grand Ave.
Saturday, June 1
Time: 3--5:00pm

Chicago Dance Month kicks off with an opening celebration featuring a dynamic mix of performances from companies and artists that span genres and countries. Audience members are encouraged to bring a blanket and have a picnic while enjoying the performances. Featured performances by: Ayodele Drum & Dance, BYNC Ballet Folklorico, La Mecca Dance, Nejla Yatkin, Prince Adrean, Praize Productions: Rize Pro Elite, and HouseofWurkz


Pier Dance

Enjoy a hour of FREE dance lessons at the City Stage at Navy Pier! These sessions are great for those who love socializing and social dancing!

Wave Wall Moves

Navy Pier’s Wave Wall Platform, 600 E. Grand Ave.

In partnership with Navy Pier, dance comes to the Wave Wall stage across from the iconic Ferris Wheel grand staircase with pop-up performances featuring a rotating roster of dance companies and artists each Saturday throughout the summer. New this year: an expanded schedule with two companies/artists taking the stage each Saturday.

Do you feel that? It’s the night calling. Join See Chicago Dance on Sunday, July 7th at the Newport Theater for the not-so-family-friendly Dance Month After Dark! Experience an evening of brassy burlesque, delectable drag, confounding contortion, colorful cabaret, and so much more! These TWO distinctive performances feature Chicago’s most seasoned nightlife arts & entertainment professionals – including Bazuka JoeCoco Sho-Nell, Dalia Fatale, Dawn Xiana Moon, Dusty Bhals, Eva La Feva, Ms B.LaRose, and adult students from the Newport Theater Camp to name a few. All hosted by the misses herself, Miss Mittens!

Advisory: Dance Month After Dark is not appropriate for audiences under the age of 21 years of age. No admission will be granted to minors or those accompanying minors. A valid ID is required for entry.
