The Salts is a new dance project by Erin Kilmurray, in collaboration with Molly Brennan. Drawing inspiration from live music experiences, The Salts is a brave foray into the infusion of contemporary dance with the spirit, prowess and the explosive performances of iconic frontmen. The Salts perform a set of high-velocity dances to distorted guitar, driving bass lines, wild vocals and heart-thumping drum beats. An exercise in engaging the audience outside of the typical, expect a standing room only venue that allows the fans to get close to the action. Erin Kilmurray/The Salts has been featured by Links Hall, Salonathon, University of Chicago and Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
