Teen Arts Pass Coordinator / Project Contract Position

The Teen Arts Pass (TAP) Coordinator is a uniquely exciting position supporting a brand new program that launched May 2018 and is already poised to increase teen access to the arts on a citywide scale.

TAP gives young people ages 13-19 access to $5 tickets to performances across Chicago and is expected to impact thousands of young lives in its first year alone. The TAP Coordinator supports all aspects of the TAP program, working closely with Program, Communications, and Operations departments on a regular basis. The TAP Coordinator will have the chance to take ownership over the development of many processes that support this program. Reports to:  Performance Programs Manager

Responsibilities

Website Calendar

  • Work with partner organizations to collect event information
  • Populate event information to keep the web calendar plugin fully updated, creating and optimizing an events data workflow
  • Oversee the calendar and audit for accuracy

Member and Community Communications

  • Generate and/or provide content for eblasts or other communication devices intended for teens
  • Manage TAP social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) with support from the Communications Department
  • Strategize and produce ongoing communication with specific interest groups including community partners, parents, non-member teens, inactive users, etc.

Ongoing Outreach

  • Evaluate outreach needs based on user data and strategize efforts to increase enrollment and program usage
  • Promote TAP at community events
  • Serve as a voice of TAP (and other Urban Gateways programs as needed) in the community

Box Office Data

  • Collect and track box office data from partners
  • Input data into Salesforce for tracking of member usage to inform communications, outreach, and fundraising strategies
  • Create usage reports for partners

Card Distribution

  • Create processes for distributing physical cards to new TAP members and members requesting replacement cards
  • Monitor new registrants and troubleshoot to ensure teens receive their digital and/or physical cards

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (including but not limited to Communications, Dance, Music, Theatre, or Nonprofit/Organizational/Arts Management)
  • Knowledge of and passion for the Chicago performing arts community
  • Passion for working with or advocating for youth; ability to relate to young people
  • Excellent writing skills for professional and social media audiences
  • Highly self-directed, well-organized, and focused; able to handle and prioritize many tasks independently
  • Detail-oriented approach to administrative work with an eye for data
  • Ability to tackle challenges with a positive attitude
  • Highly experienced with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive programs
  • Experience with WordPress and Salesforce a plus

 

Comments:This is a contract position through September 30, 2018 with the potential for long-term employment. This opportunity offers up to 40 hours of work per week.
