A&A BALLET Holds Auditions for the One-of-a-Kind Art Deco Nutcracker

What: A&A BALLET, under the artistic direction of Anna Reznik and Alexei Kremnev, announced auditions for roles in “The Art Deco Nutcracker”, which will be performed at Athenaeum Center at 2936 N. Southport Ave. on December 3, 2022.

Set in 1920s America, “The Art Deco Nutcracker,” is a beloved holiday performance featuring the traditional musical score by Tchaikovsky, magical costumes and stunning choreography. The best young talent is on display with an international, multicultural cast, and International Top Awards winners. Renowned dancer Alexei Kremnev is at the helm as Drosselmeyer and Mother Ginger will be played by two-time EMMY-winning television personality Jane Monzures Clauss.

Auditions will be open to children of all levels and styles of dance ages 4-6, 7-8, 9-11, and 12+ years of age.

Who: Ballet company, A&A BALLET, was founded in 2016 by Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. Both are distinguished dancers with experience as Artistic Directors at the Joffrey Ballet Academy and the Joffrey Studio Company. “The Art Deco Nutcracker” is Kremnev's 11 full-length ballet. His work has been presented at the world-renowned Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Lincoln Center in New York, and the Opernhaus Zurich in Switzerland, among other prestigious venues across the globe. Both Kremnev and Reznik have been recognized as Influential People in the Arts in Cincinnati and have received multiple awards for their leadership.
