Event Description

All We Can See From Here - first glimpse
free performances at 3:00 and 4:30pm on Saturday, June 11th, at Walsh Park (east end of the 606 trail), 1722 North Ashland Avenue, Chicago

All We Can See from Here imagines meticulous interdependence in the wake of pandemic isolation and chaos. Four dancers’ bodies merge to form interlocking shapes that can’t be divided into whole numbers – like mirrored particles shifting in a kaleidoscope. A geometric diagram on the ground designates the performance’s zone of operations, and proposes a world where resources are finite and equally distributed, and everyone commits to stay and “work it out”.

On June 11th we'll share a 25-minute, excerpted version of the complete project, which will premier in October 2022. Viewers will be invited to experience this outdoor performance in two modes at the same time: up close in three dimensions, and remotely on their phones, where they can access an aerial view, live streamed from an overhead drone.

made by Ginger Krebs with collaborating dancers (pictured clockwise from center front): Kennedy Alexandria, Selena Lasley, Anna Goetz, and Andy Slavin, and supported by The Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks 2022, The Bogliasco Foundation, High Concept Labs, and The City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events
