Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) opened the new Mayfair Arts Center (MAC) in Calumet Heights and was awarded a DCASE Project grant to present North Side, South Side, One Side. This program will offer free and affordable dance, music, theater, culinary, visual arts, classes, performances, and activities featuring diverse artists, artisans, and companies from wards throughout Chicago. North Side, South Side, One Side will help establish the new Mayfair Arts Center to become a viable and vibrant addition to Calumet Heights and surrounding neighborhoods for years to come by engaging and serving children, teens, adults, and elders. North Side, South Side, One Side will also foster a network of relationships among artists, artisans, and companies across Chicago.
CHRP's Mayfair Arts Center is inviting teaching and performing artists and companies to apply to participate in North Side, South Side, One Side: May-October 2022.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Artists and companies must submit an application by March 14, 2022. Late submissions will not be accepted. Participating artists & companies will provide two (2) 1 hour Master Classes and one (1) 20 - 25 minute performance on one of the six event days - May - October. (specific dates below) Pre-professional and youth groups are not eligible for participation.
COMPENSATION
Eighteen (18) participating artists and companies will be selected to receive performance and teaching stipends between $500 - $2500.
