Experience Ballet Chicago’s Spring Series, Balanchine+ Beyond: “Mozart & More,” at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance on May 4th, for two performances only!

The program features five spectacular ballets, beginning with a work by Ballet Chicago’s Resident Choreographer, Ted Seymour: the evocative Secrets de Printemps, set to Maurice Ravel’s orchestral adaptation of Le Tombeau de Couperin. Next on the program is a brand new children’s ballet by Patricia Blair, entitled A Little Mozart, which showcases young dancers from Ballet Chicago accompanied on stage by a live pianist. This charming ballet is followed by the debut of a special new work by Ted Seymour, choreographed to the enchanting Quintet in A Major for Clarinet and Strings by Mozart.

The performance will also showcase George Balanchine’s captivating Divertimento No. 15, celebrated for its harmonious fusion of music and dance, along with exceptional technical artistry.The evening culminates in Dan Duell’s joyful Ellington Suite, featuring music by Duke Ellington. This is an evening of dance you don’t want to miss!
