Are you looking for something fresh and innovative yet still elegant and refined? Bring your friends and family to the historic Chicago landmark, Colvin House, and enjoy Ballet 5:8’s The Living Room Series special VIP premiere on Thurs. Sept. 8. Four entry time slots available at 7pm, 7:30pm, 8:15pm and 9pm.
Life happens in the Living Room. In the center of homes, generations gather, wisdom is shared, and relationships are both built up and torn down. Ballet 5:8's newest site-specific and immersive dance experience, The Living Rooms Series, was first inspired by stories that Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager recalled listning to while growing up in her grandparents' living room about overcoming challenges as second generation immigrants in America.
Ballet 5:8 now offers The Living Room Series as unique and custom curated experience packages that patrons can book for events, intimate gatherings, house parties and more. Dancers, a pianist and spoken word artists are brought directly into your homes! Serving as a "centerpiece," friends and families can enjoy meaningful, up-close ballets that embody their personal life experiences right in their living rooms.
For one night only, Ballet 5:8 will host this immersive experience to celebrate the Year of Chicago Dance where guests will be the first to enjoy what this unique in-home performance will look like with curated food and drinks. Family-friendly and all ages are welcome.
Tickets are $40.00/each and available at: https://ci.ovationtix.com/35988/production/1133425
