On December 2nd, as part of Links Hall's 40th anniversary season, Banks Performance Project (BPP) presents That Time I Felt Things. Discussing the evening-length work, BPP founder Elysia Banks explains: "I've experienced many events, I've processed them all differently. No matter the event, no matter the process. Choreographer Bio: Elysia Christine Banks graduated from Northern Illinois University in the spring of 2012 receiving a BFA with a concentration in Dance Performance. Elysia trained on scholarship while at NIU under the direction of Autumn Eckman, Judith Chitwood, and Paula Frasz. Most recently she has presented work in the Deeply Rooted’s Emerging Choreographers Showcase and in collaboration with Collaboraction Studios at The Goodman, Hamilton Park, and the Theatre on the Lake. Elysia danced with Winifred Haun and Dancers from 2012-2014 and is currently freelancing in the Chicagoland area. She is also a 2018 Chicago Dancemakers Forum Greenhouse Artist. Elysia is thrilled to continue her artistic journey as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and mother.
