Chicago Tap Theatre returns to the historic Athenaeum Center for its long-anticipated return to its intimate Studio A, bringing audience members closer to the dancing and allowing for a premiere viewing and listening experience of live tap dance. Snapshots will feature new works by many of Chicago Tap Theatre's company dancers. This show will also feature the premiere of a new work by tap legend Sam Weber as well as a work by Greta Sorensen of Hope College. The various choreographers will share their viewpoints with the audience, running the gamut from sophisticated rhythmic excursions to deeply personal pieces about joy and trans rights. Some of Chicago's most talented musicians will be accompanying the dancers and delighting audiences. Four performances are offered during the June 16-18 run, followed by its virtual premiere on July 8 at 7pm and running on demand through July 17.
