Event Description
Nic Lincoln is an instinctive seeker of beauty who takes inspiration from pop culture and visual art to voice his activism through dance. Named “One of 25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine, Nic has danced with James Sewell Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Grand Rapids Ballet and performed works created for him by Larry Keigwin, Patrick Corbin, James Sewell, Carl Flink and Joanie Smith among others. He is a proud recipient of a McKnight Artist Fellowship for Dance and has been named “Best Dancer” by the City Pages as well as one of three “Artists Who We Love” by MN Monthly magazine. For several years running he has contributed his choreography for productions that support organizations such as Queertopia, OutFront MN, the Human Rights Campaign and most recently the MN AIDS Project.

His master class focuses on movement texture, timing, musicality as well as healthy body placement within balletic vernacular. He will also create movement explorations using improv-based structures and teach dance vocabulary that spawns from his own personal repertoire.
