In celebration of 20 years of dance making, The Space Movement Project makes their return to stage with a program of new works - Cycle.
Cycle is an evening-length experience carried through live music and original improvisation structures that invites the audience to indulge in connection to each other and ourselves.
The Space Movement Project is proud to highlight the voices of many female artists coming together to create a collective program. Cycle will feature company members Elise Butterfield, Sofia Gabriel, Anne Kasdorf, and Leah Raffanti and guest artists Andrea Cerniglia and Molly Strom in original group and solo works. The show will also feature the live music performance of Dorothy Carlos.
Cycle is premiering as a part of Dovetail Studio's 16 x 2 Performance Residency. 16X2 is a subsidized rental program from Dovetail Studios that supports works from across Chicago’s dance community, amplifying the voices of the city’s artists.
