Dance to China! - Tuley Park

Event Type
Event Description

Learn Chinese culture through dance! Learn and play through performances, cultural lessons, and hands-on activities. Through dances from China's different regions and ethnic enclaves, audiences can see first-hand how dance transcends linguistic and cultural boundaries as a means of expression.

Dance to China! is presented by Mayor Rahm Emanuel's Night Out in the Parks program which brings more than 2,000 events to Chicago’s 77 neighborhood parks throughout the year, with more than 1,200 taking place over the summer!

All performances take place inside the fieldhouse.

Yin He Dance is a nonprofit organization whose programs promote Chinese dance in the Greater Chicago area. We work towards this mission through three main programs, the professional performing company, a school of dance, and community partnerships. Through these three programs, we hope to build new avenues of cultural dialogue and most importantly, share the joy of dance with all communities.
