Dance Shelter features potent, contemporary dance works by 6 risk-taking choreographers: noted experimentalists Rachel Bunting, Ayako Kato, Atalee Judy (Chicago Moving Company Artists in Residence) and Callie Frey, Maureen Gonzales, and Erica Ricketts (awardees of CMC's D49 dance festival, chosen by the curators and audience to create new work for this concert). Each night all artists' works are performed.
