Hot Crowd Dance Season Five Spring Concert

Hot Crowd Dance celebrates 5 years of innovative choreography and performance in 2022 with a four day performance at Greenhouse Theater. This concert highlights repertory pieces spanning the history of Hot Crowd with favorites including: Millennials and Who’s A Good Boy. Joining the repertoire are two world premieres of new works by Sam Crouch and Chicago’s own Purus Motus, Katie Carey.
About Hot Crowd
Hot Crowd is a 501(c)3 non for profit Chicago-based dance company whose goal is to stimulate and inspire dancers and non-dancers alike through innovative movement, community interaction and accessibility to strengthen and spread the art of modern dance throughout the Chicagoland area. The company consists of seven dancers and was incorporated in November of 2017. Hot Crowd has performed in various local shows and festivals but most notably the Going Dutch Arts Festival (2017, 2019, 2021), Detroit Dance City Festival (2017 & 2018), the Come Together Dance Festival (2017) sponsored by Koresh Dance Company, the Midwest Regional Alternative Dance Festival (RAD Fest) (2018), the Dare to Dance Festival (2019) sponsored by MADCO, and Chicago Summer Dance Celebration (2018 &2019). This past year Hot Crowd produced and aired its first film Adaptation. Over the years they have produced two self-produced shows, City of Big Shoulders and Internal Truce, which included fourteen original new dance works. August of 2021 Hot Crowd transitioned to new management. Company dancers Brittany Latta and Devon Lloyd were promoted to Programs Director/Rehearsal Director, Operations Director, respectively.
