INFJ is a modern/contemporary dance performance exploring the four components of the Myers-Briggs personality type: Introversion (I), Intuition (N), Feeling (F), and Judging (J). This performance features choreography & performance by Emma Barnhart, Avery Gingrich (they/them), Kate O'Hanlon Bruns (she/her), and Sierra Taylor (she/her). Development for the work began in 2018, and it has been presented in various forms at Links Hall (2018, premiere), Dance Chicago (2019), and St. Louis Fringe Festival (2024). The 2024 engagement at Links Hall will be the final presentation of INFJ in its completed form.
Founded in 2016 by Kate O'Hanlon Bruns, Modern Marvels Dance Company is a project-based contemporary dance collective that amplifies the creative voices of our dancers in order to develop performance art that is honest, beautiful, and accessible to all audiences. Our work often reflects our lived experiences, bringing personal stories to light through movement in hopes of promoting individual expression and allowing others to find parts of themselves in our art. MMDC prioritizes working with dancers of diverse backgrounds, body shapes and sizes, gender identities, and other unique strengths that are frequently under-valued in the dance community.
