Event Description

This Intermediate class focuses on more progressive studies, fortifications, and preludes of the Horton technique. Horton allows the dancer to move in their maximum length, to take up space, and apply those principles further thru progressions across the floor and choreography. Horton is considered a core technique for dancers studying the Joel Hall Jazz Method.

This class is perfect for students looking to further develop their knowledge and technique in Horton-based modern. Horton is considered a core technique for dancers studying the Joel Hall Jazz Method.

JHDC holds this class at Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center (47 W. Polk, lower level).

JHDC is happy to offer $15 drop in rates for all professional dancers and performers and nonprofit employees. Email classes@joelhall.org to learn about other financial aid options.
