Internationally acclaimed performer, choreographer, and creative innovator, JAIDA is an exquisite world class professional belly dancer based in NYC. Passionate about her art, she feels that belly dance is a celebration of life. In constant demand for weddings and private events, Jaida is a featured performer from New York to Tokyo and across the globe.
Jaida is a New York-based dancer who began her dance journey at Serena Wilson’s Studio in New York City. She performed in many of Serena’s off-Broadway productions, as well as the famed Egyptian Gardens Supper Club in Times Square. Jaida’s past performances include performing for the Saudi Royal Family, the United Nations Arab Gala, and performing with the internationally acclaimed New York Arabic Orchestra. Jaida has also been called upon to perform for numerous foreign dignitaries, diplomats, and prime ministers. Private events include celebrations with superstars Jay Z, Beyoncé, Mary J Blige, Anita Baker, Sean Puffy Combs, Nas, and Lady Gaga. Last but not least, she was a featured dancer on the Nile River in Cairo Egypt, along with a traditional Tanoura Show.
She has had the privilege of studying extensively some of the world’s most prominent dance legends, including reknowned instructor Yousry Sharif. An extremely experienced teacher herself, Jaida has instructed countless workshops and judged competitions from Europe and Asia to the US. Jaida currently teaches weekly classes from her studio in NYC and is excited to be teaching for the first time in Chicago.
