Event Description
In this four-part series with Kristina Fluty, movers will learn to use some of the basic elements of Laban Movement Analysis to establish clarity of language in the practice of choreographing intimate movement and scenes. Students will also gain valuable insights in how to create a safer creative space through the establishment of boundaries and upholding a consent-based practice. This workshop is for dancers, actors, and anyone who engages in physical/touch-based creative processes. This time of online learning and diminished physical contact is actually perfect for exploring these theories and practices in a safe and low-stakes way. We will move, discuss, co-create, and innovate virtually together.
