Next 50.1 continues the 50th anniversary celebration of Mordine & Company Dance Theater, one of the longest running dance companies in the Midwest. Full company work by Ayako Kato and Shirley Mordine will be creating a structured improve in collaboration with added Simon. NEXT will also feature new works created by current company members. Mordine’s vision to inspire and grow local upcoming artists is explored through her mentoring project presented in this concert. Come share in the continuation of her legacy.
Company repertoire will include excerpts from Award Winning Outstanding Artistic Achievement, “Edge Mode”(1994), Part 2, “Place of Refuge” and “I haven’t heard from you…” (2003), set to lush music by Mozart.
