Led by director and multi-disciplinary artist, Robyn Mineko Williams, this 90 minute class incorporates sensation and imagery based warmup techniques with an exploration of movement invention and interpretation.
Following a remarkable 17-year dance career, Chicago-native Robyn Mineko Williams shifted her focus to artistic creation and collaboration. As a director, producer, and multi-disciplinary artist, Robyn believes in the power of making performances accessible to all. She founded Robyn Mineko Williams and Artists (RMW&A), with a mission to partner with a variety of dynamic artists to make and share a body of independent, immersive and collaborative new works. In addition to choreographing commissions on dance companies around the world, Robyn has created movement for projects including music videos, art installations, theater productions, and film. Collaborations include projects with Manual Cinema, Califone, Ohmme, Verger, FACS, Kyle Vegter, the Second City, Mike Gibisser, Alicia Walter, Aitis Band and more.
