Audition for the 2022 production of Ruth Page’s The Nutcracker!

Auditions will be held in Studio 1 of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts - 1016 N Dearborn St
Adult Audition
When: Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 11:00am – 3:00pm; Registration at 10:30am
Where: Studio 1 of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts - 1016 N Dearborn St
This audition is for Advanced and Professional dancers ages 13+ at time of audition. Women must audition en pointe, and must have a minimum of two years of pointe work.
Bring a copy of your headshot and résumé. Rehearsal and Performance Pay included. Register HERE!
*Callbacks will take place on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 7:30 – 9:00pm. Attendance at our 6:00p Advanced/Professional Ballet class is strongly encouraged for warm-up.
Open Advanced/Professional Classes (11:00am - 12:30pm) and Intermediate Classes (4:30pm - 6:00pm) will be held at the Ruth Page School of Dance in preparation for the audition, August 22 - August 26, 2022. Register here.
Rehearsals: Wednesday evening, Saturday & Sunday afternoons beginning September 10th.
*Please note that there will be mandatory full cast rehearsals on November 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.
Performances: We have in-person performances planned at TWO locations for the 2022 season!
- December 3rd & 4th at Northeastern Illinois University
- December 17th at College of Lake County - Grayslake, IL
There is potential for an additional performance location to be added the weekend of December 9th.

Be a part of history – Ruth Page’s The Nutcracker is Chicago’s oldest Nutcracker production! Originally presented in the Arie Crown Theater from 1965 until 1997, this production recreates Ruth Page’s iconic and beloved original full-length staging.
