STOMPING GROUNDS is a free and affordable two-month citywide celebration of authentic, rhythmic dance companies from a variety of world cultures, including American tap, Spanish, Mexican, African, Indian, Native American, Urban Hip Hop, and Irish dance. The series culminates with the grand finale at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park on Thursday, June 7.
The series completes its fourth year with the grand finale on Thursday, June 7th at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. This event will feature ALL dance companies:
- Chicago Human Rhythm Project's "Stone Soup Rhythms"
- Chicago Dance Crash
- Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater
- Mexican Folk Dance Company of Chicago
- Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago
- Natya Dance Theatre
- Trinity Irish Dance Company

A few pointers to help you enjoy your Stomping Grounds experience at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion:
The Pavilion seating opens at 5pm on Thursday, June 7, so you can claim your seat or your spot on the lawn beginning at that time. All seating is first-come, first-served.
From 6pm-7pm, youth groups representing our 2018 Stomping Grounds companies will lead events on the Pavilion lawn; these events are interactive and family-friendly, so please consider joining us!
At 7pm, the main performance on the stage begins.
