Mandala's "Story of Ram" returns as an Asian answer to the holiday season, in time for Diwali. Dances of South & Southeast Asia are emboldened with Shadow Puppetry.

Multi-headed creatures, talking animals, boastful demons, and other unforgettable characters spring to life!
Set upon a backdrop of intricate and lively shadow puppetry (Wayang Kulit), this modern dance theatre reworks the ancient epic Ramayana: a classic tale that spans across cultures. Movement artists from India, Java, Bali, and Khmer cultures tell the story using the entire body—hand gestures, complex footwork and facial expressions—to recreate demons and heroes.
