Ballet Chicago will leap onto the stage of the Harris Theater for Music and Dance for two performances of Take Flight on Saturday, May 14th at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. The program will feature works by George Balanchine and Ballet Chicago Resident Choreographer Ted Seymour. Take Flight, Ballet Chicago's fifth consecutive Spring Repertory Series production at the Harris Theater, will feature George Balanchine's spirited Square Dance, his challenging and virtuous Stars and Stripes Pas de Deux, and Ted Seymour’s nebula inspired galactic odyssey Celestial Rites. Ballet Chicago will also be introducing a World Premiere ballet choreographed by Ted Seymour and danced to music by the elegant impressionist French composer Joseph Maurice Ravel.
