Celebrating Chicago's creative community and raising funds for Links Hall's artist programs, THAW 2022 brings together dozens of poets, playwrights, dancers, musicians, singers, storytellers, visual and performance artists for a FREE broadcast event.
On THAW Street is inspired by the public television programs that raised us right, taught us about community and collaboration, and introduced some of the greatest entertainers of the modern era.
New this year! Organize a Watch Party with friends and family, by pooling donations and signing up as “Community Gardeners" (see below for details).
THAW 2022 celebrates the community garden, the block party, the mutual aid effort, and any artisan of the imagination who finds their people and builds something new. It is both an invitation and a call to action, where artists are organizers and performance is grassroots, creative ground.
