As featured in Dance Magazine, the South Chicago Dance Theatre presents its third annual Black History Month Performance series virtually! South Chicago Dance Theatre typically spends February touring its Black History Month themed program to schools around the greater Chicagoland area. This year's program is open to the broader public and features new choreography by the company's Resident Choreographer Kia S. Smith. The concert begins with a tribute to the Martin Luther King "I Have a Dream" speech before paying homage to the infamous Langston Hughes poem "I Too Sing America". The concert features the SCDT Main Company and Emerging Artist Program and has a run time of 40 minutes.
