We are seeking new movers to join our community! Our community is built around a shared love of dance, collaboration, and connection. We offer opportunities to choreograph and perform, where every member of the community is invited to contribute and co-create.
The collective offers a space for dancers pursuing careers other than professional dance to train, choreograph, and perform. We meet weekly in anticipation of annual showcases, interdisciplinary projects, and guest performances.
Because the group functions as a nonprofit, funds come from affordable membership fees, fundraising, and showcase ticket revenue. This covers rehearsal space, theatre booking, and photography/videography.
Membership in Echo is a serious and involved commitment. We are seeking dancers who have the space to be very present, work hard, and contribute to a joyful Echo!
This year we are looking for general dancers AND for dancers who want to fill one of 2 executive board positions: VP Finance and VP Fundraising. The VP Finance position involves overseeing all aspects of Echo’s finances, including but not limited to budgeting, audits, and bank communications. The VP Fundraising position involves leading all fundraising-specific events and researching/applying for grants. Echo’s Board of Directors work closely with one another— no matter what your role is, there will always be lots of support.
