Off the Wall and Onto the Stage

Celebrate the South Side Community Art Center’s 75th anniversary with Off the Wall and Onto the Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green, performed by Columbia City Ballet Company.

Off the Wall and Onto the Stage infuses Jonathan Green’s rich, vibrant colors onto the stage through backdrops; while the music—a combination of traditional work songs, gospel, Motown, classical, and jazz—breathe life into the paintings’ intriguing characters. The company’s dancers depict the culture of the Gullah and Geechee communities.
