We're kicking off our 2022|23 Moonstone Season, with a Celebration of 25 Years of extraordinary, innovative dance making. This event features the premiere of a new work "When day comes", and a retrospective of the Company's award winning works: "Bento", "Promise", and "I am (not) this body”. The solo, “Love Not Me”, choreographed by Randy Duncan in 1990 especially for Winifred Haun, will be performed by Assistant Artistic Director and Company Dancer Summer Smith. Also, featured in this event will be Company Dancers Julia Schaeffer, Vernon Gooden, Crystal Gurrola, Myles Harris, Jade Hooper, Mandy Milligan, and Jacinda Ratcliffe. Lighting Design is by Julie Ballard.
The gem Moonstone represents inner clarity, cyclical change, and is a symbol of light and hope that encourages us to embrace new beginnings. It is closely linked to themes of femininity such as fertility, balance, and intuition.
