Department of Creative Arts Therapies, Columbia College

Graduate and undergraduate programs from multi-disciplinary fields in the performing arts therapies, counseling psychology, arts in healthcare, and movement studies are offered through the progressive Department of Creative Arts Therapies (DCAT). Rooted in a 30 year history of dance/movement therapy, DCAT is guided by student?centered practitioner?scholar?artists who value artistic excellence. DCAT educates students to become dynamic leaders in the professional application of the arts within a discernible scope of credentialed practice. Through respectful, culturally aware learning communities; innovative and integrative curricula; experiential engagement; and critical inquiry, students learn how to personally enhance the healthand vitality of our local, national, and global communities.
